Who will own the trademark?

The owner is the person or company the trademark is registered to. It decides whether you get a discount.

Where does the owner live or have their company?

How AGEPI trademark fees are calculated

For a regular trademark in one class, AGEPI's fees are €490: €40 for filing and publication, €200 for substantive examination and €250 for registration and the certificate, valid for 10 years. Each extra class adds €50 to examination.

Private persons and small and medium businesses pay 50% of these fees, so €245 for one class. The discount does not apply to the priority fee, the fee for collective-mark rules, or urgent handling.

Collective and certification marks cost more: €250 for examination and €500 for registration, plus €50 for the rules of use.

How much does it cost to register a trademark in Moldova?

AGEPI's official fees for a regular mark in one class are €490, or €245 for private persons and SMEs. If you work with an agent, their fee comes on top.

Do I pay all the fees at once?

No. The registration and certificate fee is paid only after AGEPI decides to register the mark. If the application is refused, you don't pay it.

Why isn't Lumis's price in the calculator?

Because it depends on your mark: how many classes you need, how complex the list of goods is and what risks the search finds. After a free consultation you get a written quote showing AGEPI's fees and our fee separately.

How accurate is the estimate?

The euro amounts are those in AGEPI's official table and match AGEPI's own calculator. The amount in lei depends on the BNM rate on the day you pay, and extra fees only arise if the procedure gets complicated.
